Walka Water Works – Maitland, built in 1887

This is a lovely recreation area with plenty of walks. The pumphouse with the chimney and ornate brickwork is really a sight to see and is a part of the Lower Hunter’s history. There is also plenty of birds and turtles in the area. We also had a look at some machinery and took a walk around the lake.
